Why did you choose the name Switcher ?

The name Switcher is derived from 2 other English words ; the first from the word "sweatshirt" and the second from the verb to "switch" (or change).
This stood for a new way of wearing T-shirts and sweatshirts because back in 1981 all the other models available on the market had inscriptions whereas ours had no written markings at all but were available in a wide choice of colours.

Why did you choose a whale as the Switcher symbol ?

When he set up Switcher, Robin Cornelius, founder and owner of the company, hesitated between a whale, a rhinoceros and an elephant ? all three being symbols of big herbivorous mammals. They are not predators of any other species and are therefore harmless.
Finally, he opted for the whale because of its soft and harmonious lines.
