Paleo Band

In January 2005, representatives of the Nyon Paléo Festival visited the various programmes implemented by Prem Group Company and Switcher SA in the Tiripur surrounding areas: creation of schools and other social programmes.

Impressed by the efforts made, the Paléo Festival expressed the wish to take a tangible part in a project. Thus the Paléo Band was born, a group of about twenty musicians whose goals and activities are summarised below:

• give the pupils the opportunity to learn music and play instruments;
• give the pupils the possibility to develop their talents and demonstrate them during events organised in our schools or in other institutions;
• increase the choice of extra-curricular courses offered to the pupils;
• give the group credit during the visits of key figures to our schools.

In 2006, the Paléo Festival continued to sponsor the band by financing the teacher and the upkeep of the instruments.
