The reasons for a foundation

Our planet is a fragile system that needs to be preserved for the simple reason that there is no other. To take into account all the kinds of discriminations that exist between its inhabitants and to understand the damages we inflict to our environment are today and tomorrow's stakes.

Whereas the Switcher Group's activities pursue commercial goals, the Switcher Foundation was essentially created to gather all the donations made to support social and environmental projects. The Switcher Foundation subscribes to a principle of transparency: every cent given by the public is assigned to a project, while the Switcher Group covers the greater part of the administrative and operating costs.

The Switcher Foundation was created on March 25, 2004. Its purpose is to organise and support, in Switzerland and abroad, tangible projects directed at upholding sustainable development - particularly in the fields of childhood, education, training, the environment and the general improvement of living conditions.

Mission

To work towards the improvement of the living conditions of populations in Switzerland and in the world, particularly in the fields of:
  • childhood
  • education
  • training
by stimulating the solidarity and generosity of partners and private persons. This is done in the spirit of sustainable development.
